Let’s go fly your Icon A5!
As an Icon Authorized Factory Instructor (IAFI), I’m qualified to conduct your official transition training course (TX-L or TX-S), fly with you to satisfy your insurance company’s experience requirements, or planning and executing advanced adventures in your new aircraft.
My schedule does not allow me to work with primary flight training students right now.
Sadly, I don’t own an A5 myself, and there aren’t any aircraft available for rental in this area. I’m happy to provide training in your A5, at a location of your choice.
I conduct TX courses per Icon’s syllabus, but we can design a custom training program to meet your specific needs. Topics for advanced courses could include:
- Identifying local bodies of water that allow seaplane flying, and coordinating with local authorities.
- Mission planning techniques to ensure safe, fun water flying operations.
- Familiarization and practice with flying the A5 if your local controlled airspace.
- Trying out new locations in your aircraft with a second set of eyes to help mitigate hazards and identify best practices for your area.
- Setting up trip “package” templates you can use to expedite mission planning for future trips.
I can’t say enough good things about the A5. From teaching new students in Tampa Bay, to delivering a brand new aircraft from the factory in California to a customer in Minnesota, I love flying this airplane. I look forward to helping you gain the confidence and experience you need to use your A5 to have the kinds of adventures you’ve been dreaming about.
